The videos on our site are hosted by Vimeo/Livestream, which is one of the most professional and trusted video-sharing websites in the world.
Unfortunately, like many other prominent video-sharing websites, Vimeo is blocked in various countries in the world, including China and Indonesia.
This means that if you connect to our TTS 2020 Virtual Congress, you may experience issues watching the video material in the course as the site hosting the video (Vimeo) is blocked.
Please check out and try the following workarounds:
The last few years that has been an increase in the use of VPN’s and thus, an increase in the VPN services. A VPN can help you surpass internet censorship and allow you to watch the videos on our site, even if Vimeo is blocked in your country.
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network and creates a virtual tunnel to guide your internet traffic through. You no longer directly connect to a website; instead, you connect to the VPN and the VPN, in turn, connects to the website.
Your internet service provider will only see you connect to the VPN. It will not see what website you are looking at as this information is transferred to you through the virtual tunnel.
There are many VPN services out there – both free and paid. In general, it is advised to choose for a reliable paid VPN service as they are more secure and do not limit your internet speed as much as free alternatives.
Here is a website with links to paid and free VPN services (not are affiliated with the Congress and we are providing the link below as a reference only):

Another way to access our videos if Vimeo is blocked in your country is to use a Smart DNS Proxy. There are various Smart DNS Proxy services out of there. The services are relatively inexpensive and have no big impact on your internet speed.
A Smart DNS Proxy changes your DNS (Domain Name System) settings to a DNS server in a different location, allowing you to see the content of a website.
A DNS server translates the URL you wish to visit (e.g. virtual.tts.org) to an IP-address (in this case, 104.198.107.10) which computers can understand.
The standard DNS settings automatically assign you to a DNS server close to your location for speed and connectivity reasons.
It is through this DNS server that a website will identify your location and block your access. If you use a Smart DNS Proxy, the website will identify a different location and thus grant you access.
All three options have their positives and negatives. The use of VPN is outlawed in some countries, the Smart DNS Proxy does not work for everyone and the Remote Desktop Connections requires a trusted 3rd person to setup.
