After completing his Nephrology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2002, Dr Kung joined the faculty at Drexel University College of Medicine until 2004 when he returned to Einstein as a Transplant Nephrologist. Subsequently he became the Medical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program at Einstein from 2009 - 2013. Briefly he was the Medical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program at Lahey Clinic 2014 - 2016. Since June 2016, he has joined the transplant program at UCSF. Since completion of his training he has dedicated my energy taking care of kidney and pancreas transplant patients. He has a special interest in clinical transplantation, transplant immunology, and transplant immunotherapy. In addition, he is also interested in clinical teaching. During his tenure at Einstein, he had started a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program in 2011.
