Dr. Jeong is a renal pathologist and professor at the Department of Pathology, Yonsei Univerisity College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. She graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1981 and received a PhD degree from the same University in 1987. She had her resident and fellowship training in Anatomic Pathology in Severance Hospital, Yonsei University from 1982 to 1988, and extended her study in renal pathology at the Department of Pathology, Brigham and Womens’ Hospital in Boston and at the Pathology Institute in Basel University, from 1990 to 1992. She has been working as a faculty since 1988, and as a full professor since 2002 at the Department of Pathology, Yonsei University College of Medicine. She served as the head of the Department of Pathology (2008-2012), vice president of the Korean Society of Transplantation (2016-2017) and vice president of the Korean Society of Pathologists (2016), and served as a faculty member of Yonsei Premedical and Medical Learning Community for 5 years (2015-2019). She is currently a member of the TTS and the European Society of Pathology.
