Lara Danziger-Isakov, MD, MPH is Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati where she is the Director of Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases. She studies infections in immunocompromised hosts and is the protocol chair for NIH-supported Clinical Trials in Organ Transplantation in Children evaluating the immunologic interactions between infection and graft function and impact of B-cell induction after pediatric lung transplantation with principal investigator Stuart Sweet. She is the principal investigator for the evaluation of CMV prophylaxis with the Studies in Pediatric Liver Transplantation (SPLIT) and was the Pediatric lead for the development of the International Consensus Guidelines on the Management of Cytomegalovirus in Solid Organ Transplantation.

Dr. Danziger-Isakov has provided guest lectureships throughout the North America and Europe and was recognized with the Clinical Science Career Development Award from the American Society of Transplantation in 2012. She has served as Councilor of the International Pediatric Transpalnt Association, has been Board Member, Secretary and Annual Meeting Program Chair for the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and is the Infectious Disease Community of Practice Chair for the American Society of Transplantation.
