- Nicolae Leca, M.D., is medical director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at UW Medical Center and a UW associate professor of medicine in the division of Nephrology.

- Dr. Leca earned his M.D. in Bucharest, Romania, followed by residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and Nephrology training at University of Buffalo. He is actively involved in multiple committees and initiatives of the American Society of Transplantation, American Society of Nephrology and the United Network of Organ Sharing Kidney Transplantation Committee.
- Dr. Leca's clinical interests include novel immunosuppressive approaches and clinical trials in kidney and pancreas transplantation, antibody mediated rejection and post transplantation care.
