Biography

Graduated (1999) and obtained her Master's degree (2006) and PhD (2010) in Nursing from the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, University of São Paulo (EERP-USP). After graduation, has worked as the Coordinator Nurse (2001-2004) of the Integrated Group of Liver Transplantation from the Clinics Hospital at the School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). From 2004 to 2019 was worked as a Specialized Nurse at EERP-USP and Nurse-Tutor of the Academic League of Organ and Tissue Transplantation of EERP. Is a researcher at the Research Group on Evidence-Based Health Research (EERP-USP) and took part of the Group of Studies on Organ and Tissue Transplantation from 2009 to 2016 (GEDOTT - UNIFESP). Has experience in the fields of Fundamental Nursing and Surgical Nursing, particularly in the healthcare process of adults with acute and chronic-degenerative diseases, acting on the following subjects: liver transplantation, organ transplantation, tissue and organ procurement, perioperative nursing, evidence-based practice, patient education, research, and extension. Member of the International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS) since 2009 and the Brazilian Association of Organ Transplantation (ABTO) since 2001. Has worked in the Transplant Nursing Department of Brazilian Association of Organ Transplantation (ABTO) for 2008-2009, 2012-2013 and 2014/2015. Serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Transplant Nurses Society and of the Department of Transplant Nursing at ABTO (2020-2021).
